Program Risk Director –
Dallas, TX FILLED
This position, unique within the insurance industry, will call upon a wide range of insurance, reinsurance, risk, and related skills and knowledge. Based not far from DFW international airport, this position reports to a C-level title and interacts with individuals and managers of the following functions:
- Reinsurance
- Legal
- Programs
- Actuarial
- Compliance
The program risk director will be responsible for the oversight and risk procedures of a ½ billion dollar group of fronted programs. Among other challenges this position will be responsible for:
- Interacting with functional departments to identify unique issues requiring regulatory, reporting or other risk exposures
- Review underwriting packages
- Make presentations to credit committee
- Develop report formats to outline unique risk exposures of related accounts
- Assist with new and existing programs
Required are
- Strong financial assessment/credit skills within an insurance program environment
- Ability to communicate to C level and other team members in a team environment
- Program, reinsurance, risk, or credit lending (to insurance entities) combining risk and analytical skills
