Controller/CFO/Treasurer
New Orleans Suburban headquartered specialty insurance division is seeking a CFO/Treasurer hybrid individual for a newly created role to manage future growth. This is a specialty insurance business division which is part of a larger cluster of insurance companies, with just under $15 million in annual premium for the division. Parent company is in the hundred million valuation combining other business units.
This position will involve working with the divisional president and assisting with key responsibilities involving:
- General
Ledger
- Financial statements
- Reinsurance/Bordereaux reporting
- State/Statutory
- Federal/State/Local Tax filings
- Financial Statement Audits/CPA firm liaison/parent company liaison
- AM Best presentations/models
- Actuarial Analysis
- Regulatory
Reporting
- Enterprise Risk/Internal Insurance Reviews/Dept of Insurance Exams
- Forecasting/modeling
- NAIC and other Association Reporting
Requirements Include:
- Ability to commute to or relocate to the greater Baton Rouge, New Orleans vicinity
- 10+
years’ experience as the lead controller/treasurer or financial manager of a
regulated insurance entity such as but not limited to:
- Managing General Underwriter/Agency (MGU/MGA)
- Regional or Super-regional insurance agency
- Specialty insurance carrier involving any aspect of P&C
- Minimum 4 Year degree, Masters strongly preferred
- Professional designation such as CPA, CMA strongly desired
