SENIOR UNDERWRITER
Bergen County Specialty Insurance Program
Bergen County based specialty managing general underwriter with a long history of serving the specialty markets with full-packaged insurance coverage across product lines seeks a senior underwriter for our team.
This position will involve evaluating all new and renewal programs within assigned accounts, as well as making recommendations to terms, working with carrier and reinsurers, as well as coordinating with internal colleagues while supporting partner organizations. Using your data analytics and statistical trend observation skills, your underwriting decisions and feedback will have direct impact on profitability.
Required for this unique underwriting opportunity are:
- College degree
- Demonstrated skills with analytics, trend analysis combined with complex underwriting
- Current underwriting experience in either:
- Inland marine or…
- Accidental & Health or…
- Any other complex insurance category involving binding authority
- Ability to work with regulatory bodies, comprehend regulation updates and changes along with impact to underwriting changes
